The Walsall Engineering Group evolved from Walsall Installation Services, who were established in 1991 as specialists to the Can Making and Packaging Industries. Formed in 2001, the Walsall Engineering Group comprises of 3 main operating divisions, and is supported by strategic alliances with other companies to provide a comprehensive service. The company can provide complete turnkey solutions with regard to relocation of packaging lines and line upgrades. We also provide a disaster recovery service for fire and floods where equipment has been damaged and have supported the insurance industry.

An overview of the 3 operating divisions is below:-

Walsall Installation Services:- equipment and conveyor installations, modifications and re-locations

Walsall Fabrication Services:- re-engineering of conveyors, contract conveyor assembly service and machine guarding systems

Sword Associates:- project and engineering management to support group activities and our customer base

Our offices and workshops are centrally located in the UK in Walsall, in the West Midlands, and are ideally positioned for access to the major road, rail and airport links.

In 2007 The Walsall Engineering Group acquired Colwall Sheet Metal Services who are based in Malvern in Worcestershire.

Colwall:- manufacture a wide range of high quality bespoke products in sheet metal and fabrication in stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel.

The Group is currently widening its activities through a process of selective partnerships with companies such as, Controlrite, Frederick Smith Electrical, ABCO, Palinox and Verinox.

The Walsall Engineering Group have a major shareholding in Controlrite with Frederick Smith Electrical, being a wholly owned subsidiary of Controlrite.
